Don't dismiss football too soon. It's the only sport I watch consistently. If you pick one team and follow it, you may get into it (especially if you can find a friend who understands the game and who is willing to watch it with you). Since you are in Tennessee, you could choose the Titans in the NFL or one of the local colleges. (Personally, I'm an Indianapolis Colts fan even though I live no where near Indianapolis, because I have heard Coach Tony Dungy speak and I have read his autobiography. It's hard to dislike the man, once you get to know a little about him.) However, don't worry about trying to manufacture an interest in something. If you try something and don't care for it, don't bother. There are plenty of other interesting things in life.

I suggest basketball or soccer for fast paced action. But in your case, you simply might enjoy life as you knew it before the Olympics caught your attention. You can always dial into the competitions leading up to 2012 Olympics and then get fanatical again in that year. Not everyone chooses sports as their interest---Bill may never choose Christ (His is the GREATER LOSE!) But we men will still do our share of watching, so if it isn’t for you----We’ll carry that “burden” for you!
