The real thing is to be so led by the Holy Spirit/God’s Breath that something good and new does not depend on stereotypes and labels. If the Breath is doing His ministry in the hearts, minds, and souls of the disciples of Jesus, then the ‘types and ‘bels will not occur. This freedom in allowing the Breath to minister in one’s life, and in the life of a group of Disciples, is freedom in Christ and seems to be how it was, 1st century, to be.

so many churches do this to the T. their desire to move away from stereotypes and labels only makes them more susceptible to stereotypes and labels. genuine? contrived is more like it :)

It sounds to me like the kind of groups Paul started from which the worship style of the 1950′s developed and gave us something to leave for something real and community-like, like house congregations and other such 1st century kinds of groups for the disciples of Jesus.
