It seems that the old quote, “the good is the enemy of the best” might apply here. To be sure, many good and godly things have occurred through church programs. But I am becoming more convinced that a church that centers around programming will often, of necessity, sacrifice core elements of the kingdom and the Christian life.

I know we are told that we have to have relevant programming and technology to reach out culture … but I’m not so sure this machinery hasn’t become a substitute to fill the void left by our failure to live supernatural lives and Spirit-filled communities that draw people to Christ.
